How a small car with big sound is helping six aspiring Nashville musicians break into the industry.
Bose and Nissan are teaming up to give six Nashville music students the opportunity to break into the industry by creating their own music videos with the “Kickin’ It with Kicks” campaign. Those selected are provided with a branded Nissan Kicks and a Bose portable speaker and asked to record memorable performances around the city. Nissan employees will then vote for their favorite, with the winner receiving $1,000 toward their education.
This month’s winner is Zander Jett, a singer-songwriter whose songs find their way into the hearts and lips of everyone that hears him play. With his unique voice and contagious energy, he will tug on your heartstrings and leave you wanting more. He has been playing piano and singing his heart out since he was a little boy. His way of weaving stories into songs makes you feel like you are physically living inside the song. Zander is motivated every day to write “that” song and doesn’t plan on stopping until he does.

Zack Whisler
March’s winner was Zack Whisler, a singer-songwriter from Washington, D.C., who currently calls Nashville home. Zack originally began writing songs to follow in his older brother’s footsteps. But he soon found his own voice, and his songs surpassed 500,000 streams by the time he entered Belmont University to study songwriting. These days, Zack and his band perform compositions that blend rich and authentic storytelling with jazzy pop melodies and chords on stages across Music City. And despite releasing his debut EP, Already/Not Yet, in the spring of 2022, Zack is already busy working on his next project, that’s even bigger and better than the last.
Paige Parrucci
February’s winner was Paige Parrucci, a singer-songwriter from Forest Lake, Minnesota. Paige draws her musical inspiration from artists such as Carole King, Billy Joel, and Lake Street Dive—which is reflected in her powerful piano-driven ballads. She has already found success in the sync industry, with placements on multiple television series, including Selling Sunset and General Hospital. Paige and her newly formed four-piece band can be found performing around Nashville. Her most recent EP release, Party Of One, is now available on all streaming platforms.
Sammi Accola
December's winner was Sammi Accola, an Americana Pop singer-songwriter from Seaside, Florida, now based in Nashville. Sammi strives to create music that inspires change, exudes honesty, and wrestles with life’s deepest questions. Here she and her friends, Silas Brown and Ryan Rasmussen, perform “Gypsy Soul,” a song written during the pandemic about craving a return to the open road.
Gloria Anderson
November's winner was Gloria, a Country singer-songwriter from the small town of Luling, Texas. After she began writing songs at only seven years of age, she went on to play open mics and paid gigs in San Antonio before finding her new home in Nashville. Here she is performing “Like She Does (The Car Song),” which just so happens to be about an ’01 Nissan.
